The Masons Arms is a charming little local pub that is situated off the main Wigan - St. Helens throughfare in the quaintly named Chadwick Green area of Billinge, it has been the uninterupted home of its quiz team since 1987. The team have enjoyed a good deal of competitive success over the years topping Division Two on no less than four occasions, there have also been Knockout Cup and Plate successes and the team's terrific sporting credentials were recognised in 1992 with their being awarded the Ted Owen Memorial Rose Bowl. To date the one honour to escape their grasp has been the elusive League Championship.
